SILENCE

This piece is titled silence. “Silence is the most powerful and loudest form of screaming, but not all have the ability to hear it” – Author Of Pain.

When you’re suffering, it’s natural to want to talk to someone about your problems. Everyone needs a listening ear sometimes. When you can’t find someone to talk to, it can be painful. Understandably, you would want to vent to a friend or loved one about what you’re experiencing. As much as others care, you are the one who ultimately has to handle your challenges. That might sound scary but think of it as an empowering statement. You have the tools to change your life for the better. That doesn’t mean you can’t ask for help and you can.
How do you cope when you have problems? The natural instinct is to find someone to talk about your problems with, but that’s not always possible. If you could let loose about your issues who would tell? Naturally, you talk to friends and family. In addition to confiding in the people close to you, there are other ways to find support. Going to counseling or seeing an online therapist can help you when you’re suffering. Your friend isn’t your therapist. It’s essential to be careful when you’re asking for support from those close to you. There’s a balance between being a supportive friend and acting like someone’s counselor. You want a friend to be just that, a friend. A therapist, on the other hand, is a dedicated mental health professional whose job it is to care for you. They want to help you navigate your problems. Many people in your position turn to mental health professionals to talk about their issues. Therapy helps people figure out how to get through tough times. A conversation can make a difference in helping someone feel less alone and more supported in recovering from anxiety and depression. Don’t underestimate the importance of just ‘being there’.
The best we can be friends to eachother and the best way to help prevent suicide, depression, anxiety and loneliness is by possessing three important qualities which are;

  1. Listening
  2. Asking
  3. Supportive
    We should always be available and be a good listener when our friends needs us, we should always ask questions when we feel something may be wrong, because sometimes, they might not be able to speak out, and we should always be supportive no matter the condition they are in.
    The best way to help ourselves too, is by
  4. Talking to someone who cares
  5. Know when to ask for help.
    It’s important to know when to ask for help, don’t keepatters to yourself till the point that it becomes too late to ask for help.

Self Acceptance by Michelle James

Self acceptance is the key to happiness. If you judge your self-worth with what you have achieved, you will be disappointed when things turn haywire. In today’s fast-moving world, people have time for nothing. Not for even themselves. The modern lifestyle is so demanding that we are forgetting the basics of healthy living that were taught and practiced by our ancestors.

We are so pre-occupied by our belief systems that knowingly or unknowingly we are heading towards self-destruction. The expectations and aspirations of the young generation are so high that even a small failure in their fulfillment pushes the individual into a dark, melancholy world.

Self acceptance is definitely the process of befriending the unconditioned self—the part of you that is more than just your name, your failures or your successes.

Accept yourself the way you are first, and then try to work on your faults to improve yourself. Stop uselessly criticising yourself. Once you find some time from your schedule to look within, you will find that you have a number of strengths and weaknesses in yourself. Accept them.

Accept your weaknesses and once you do that, only then you can make efforts to bring about a change. Say to yourself, “I like myself.” Try to build and maintain your self-esteem. Self acceptance is the first step toward expressing love for yourself.

I want you to search June for the last piece of my heart
For I have walked away but I am sick
A part of me is struggling to walk on dry rustled leaves
Because my limbs are slave to your words

I have not said your voice in the autumn whispers
I long for your skin, like a baby yearns its mother
My stomach hurts badly and my chest burns daily
For sunlight has failed to bring me joy.

The rain is no longer a friend of mine
My garden is withered from lack of water
And April heat failed to bring me showers
Because I sit in the still shadows where you left me
