Birthday Message To Self

I can’t promise to love you forever. But on some special days like this, the love I have for you can’t be described with mere words even from the greatest of poets. I’m proud of the person you’re gradually becoming against all odds. Last year you were in a bad state, wouldn’t say you’re out of it now, but you don’t feel like you can’t be. You deal with so many silent battles but yet you find a way to make sure those around you are always happy even if you’re not. You’re phenomenal and I know it. It’s said that everything that breaks you down, could also build your character and to you even losses are victories, that’s just Phenomenal. You were made for more, you were made for greatness, I could tell that the minute I first saw you. The journey of your life might feel like a rough one, but still is an easy one cause you got families and friends who loves you a lot. The path to greatness is never an easy one, yours is one to be remembered for generations to come.

MENTAL NOTE

You all ever got this feeling,
Like you think you know it all,
And then out of the blues,
In just one moment,
That special moment,
You realized that you’ve been wrong all along.
I had always thought,
That I’m the Author of pain,
Cause I’ve always been a victim of this pain,
When asked, why choose Author of pain,
I always said;
I didn’t choose the name,
It choose me.
Maybe I’m always comfortable being sad,
Maybe no matter how hard I tried,
I’ll always be a victim of this pain.
Everything’s gonna be fine
My therapist always said,
But nothing ever seem fine with me.

This made me lock the door of happiness,
I destroyed the door of love,
I choose solitude over intimacy,
I traded my joy for my protection,
Because all intimacy ever brought to me,
Was nothing but more pains,
Or so I thought?

But in that one moment,
When I opened the door of happiness and love,
When I picked intimacy over solitude,
Then in that moment,
I saw things for what they actually were,
I’m Author of pain not because,
I am addicted to pains,
Nor was I a victim of these pains,
I am Author of pain,
Not because I was comfortable being sad,
But because I was a master of it,
I could turn your pains into happiness,
I can show you millions a reason,
Why the pains you might be going through is not the end of you,
With my words,
I could heal you of all your pains,
With my poetry,
I can turn your pains,
To your mental Notes.

OUR FAVOURITE SONG

OUR FAVOURITE SONG

I wish i could see you one more time,
Just hearing your name makes me realize,
How much meaning you added to my life.
Each time i try to forget about you and move on,
Our favourite song comes up on the radio,
And listening to it alone,
Makes me realize just how much I miss you.
I dream of hearing your voice everyday,
But reality dawns a rainy day,
And now I’m,
Sadness, tears and blues.
I know you didn’t mean to hurt me,
But death gave you no choice,
Snatching you away from me.
Your soul appears to me everyday,
Telling me everything is fine and i should move on,
But i wish i was dead,
So we could listen to our favorite song together,
In a better place.

This Heart’s Last Words

This Heart’s Last Words.

I just want to run away,
To a place that feels safe,
A place where my past can’t hunt me,
To a place where I’d be free from all this traumas.

The heartbeat in my chest is starting to feel weak,
I can feel it fading away,
And the only cure for this
Is finding that place,
Where the bad days doesn’t come as often
As this,
Where I don’t have to be afraid of my thoughts,
A place where I can be free.

Just be yourself, everyone says
But just being myself,
Has brought me nothing,
But depressed mornings, lonely afternoons and sad nights.
This might be the last words of my weak heart,
For the heartbeat in my chest feels weakest tonight,
So weak, it can’t live to see,
Yet another day.

Close Your Eyes And Let Us Prey.

Madams! close your eyes!
Pick your axe!
and let us prey on those Adams:

Who forcefully took off our clothes,
tasted our honeypots, denied us of our crimson joy
and leave us to shrink in the cold blood of despair.

Madams!! close your eyes!
and let’s fill this cup,
with the blood of those herdsmen:
who made us battle with loneliness in the warmth of our bed
Who suddenly turns our children into overnight Abíkú and
Sees massacre as a panacea to replacing their cattle.
Madams!!close your eyes!
and let’s prey on those Adams;
Who pushed our sisters into the icy hands of death
Who uses their physical strength as an instrument of oppression on
and uses the Holy book to back up their claims.

Madams!!close your eyes!
and let’s prey on those Adams:
Who made us fall into the ditch of love and intimacy.
Met us as singles and
ran like Usain Bolt after making us double.
Madams!!close your eyes!
and let’s prey on those Adams:
Who walked us to the aisle and loved us to the moon,
when we still had the hour glass shape.
But,
now dread our present presence,
Because, we are now as big as an elephant.
Madams!!close your eyes!
Pick your axe!
and let’s fill this cup with the blood of those Adams:
Who we stayed and suffered with,
during their ugly and bitterleaf times and
took another Madam in,
during their beautiful and honey times.
Madams!! Close your eyes,
I know we have sinned,
But, God forgives sinners.
Just pray to him
to allow those Adams whose,
lives we have preyed on,
Now rest in perfect peace

SOFT COPY OF AUTHOR OF PAIN – THE JOURNAL: BE PATIENT AND TOUGH SOMEDAY THIS PAIN WILL BE USEFUL TO YOU.

The purpose behind this journal is to enlighten the general public on the importance of our lives. We live in a world where pain is inevitable, and these pains brings discomfort to our lives, and a lot of the times the end result is suicide. It’s a shame to us, that when we see our fellow brothers and sisters going through difficulty at some point in their lives, instead of helping them, we just laugh at them and use it to mock them. A lot of times we see this life as a competition, as a battle of the fittest which is why we don’t help others. The world is gradually coming to an end and it Is not right for us to end it with our own hands; the rate of suicide is rapidly increasing thus bringing the end to the world closer. Through the many stories, poems and articles from various writers across the world that seek to explore the crucial aspects of pains, I hope the world will begin to see people for what they truly are. It’s my prayers that the world will condemn suicide. The lives of each individual no matter how rich or poor, educated or uneducated, sane or insane are God’s gift to humanity and committing suicide isn’t a way out of any problem we face in this life. Committing suicide is a great sin in life, perhaps through writing, poetry and self expression, I and other great writers will successfully destroy this act that only brings more pains to your family and loved ones instead of ending yours.

Nathan Feuerstein (NF)

The music industry is getting bleaker by the day… People are now more focused on placing artists against each other in a battle of who creates the best music… And I think that mentality only exist among fans who only listen to music for the sound, beat and rhythm… not being able to connect with the message the music is really passing across.

I believe people who see past sounds and beats wouldn’t have any problem connecting with the artist cuz a real artist work is actually a reflection of the artist himself. It’s like the artist is letting us into his self-conscious… So it’s up to us to learn how to relate to it.

The likes of Nathan Feuerstein(NF) are rare. Not every artist have that constant willingness to open up the feelings confined inside. NF will always be a therapist to many! Real Music till the day we die, that’s the slogan.

Failure

I remembered my first day at school,
Too naive to see the difficulties that awaits,
Little did I know that it would be one hell of a journey.
Life is tough, that’s what every one says,
But waking up every morning and going to school is tougher,
Each day a life in hell anew.
My teachers said, I prolly didn’t try my best,
My parents called me a disappointment,
For giving up on my dreams.
But it was more of their dreams,
For I never wanted to be inside no class.
I had my own dreams,
And I needed no class or school to achieve that,
But who could I tell that,
I had try talking to my parents,
But they insisted I went to a school like every one does.
I dream of playing on a field I call my own,
If only they would let me,
I would become successful,
But they wouldn’t let me be.
After trying a couple of schools,
They still are blind to what’s best for me.
So here I sit again,
In a class I don’t want to be in,
Writing this poem,
Hoping one day, they’ll let me do it my way,
How can I ever get them to see?

LONELINESS

Loneliness is not about having no one around you. You may have a large circle of friends and still feel lonely. It’s all about having people that care around you. Having the right person around you is the best way to avoid loneliness. So next time you want to go out there and make friends, keep in your mind that “Who is surrounding you is more important than how many”.

LOVE YOUR LIFE.

What your heart likes, welcome it with a hello. What your heart dislikes bid it goodbye. Never force yourself to like something because others do and never pretend to hate something cause others do. Always be yourself, and not the person people assume you to be. You are the author of your life, don’t let anyone write your narratives. Welcome joy and happiness to your heart and bid farewell to fear and hatred. Sometimes this life would be wonderful and sometimes it would be unfair. The world we live in today can be so cruel, no one cares why, how, when or where you do something. All they care about is the outcome. When you loose, they’re going to laugh at your face, but when you win they’re going to act like they’ve been supporting you since day one. Remember, no matter what you’re going through, never let anyone be the author of your life, own your mistakes and success. When the road seem impossible to cross, call on God and he will guide you through. You don’t know this, but God resides in you.

My World

It’s not too far, I can see the end.
But when I start walking, I keep on coming back to the starting point.
It’s like my life is one big circle.
A little sweet, very much sour.
A little far, not too close.
Warm as a sweeter knitted of dreams,
But in a very cold world.
There are many more like me,
I’m not alone,
Who walks in his sleep with his eyes open,
Hoping to watch his dreams come true.
The one who falls everytime,
But rises like a phoenix,
Even the sun that has set,
Will still rise again.
Open eyes how I run,
How I run in my dreams,
Till the day I become free.
Let me in without a shout,
Let me in I have a doubt,
There are more many more
Many many more like me,
Oh, I just want to be free.

Conversation with my demon

What are you scared of me?
If it wasn’t for me you would have never grown to be Author of pain,
I’ve been here for you, but how come you’re never there for me?
It’s a little bit twisted, but I miss when you and I had peaceful dreams,
But now all we have are scary dreams.
I remember when you still cried in your room,
Wishing you still had a heart……
Shut up! I don’t wanna hear about that,
Well that’s too bad Author of pain,
Now where we’re we?
We all wished you still had a heart tho,
So we wouldn’t have to read dark poems all the time.
You told me you don’t want me in your life,
Well that’s pretty hard to digest,
Cause without me you wouldn’t be here,
Told you I’ll leave when I die, but I ain’t dead yet.
You keep on talking to me like we are strangers,
But the funny thing is that we’ve been together since you were a kid.
Took you from the moment you lost your heart,
Told you everything will be alright,
Now you want to cut me off like I was never a part of you.
If you didn’t want me in your life,
You wouldn’t have let me in, in the first place,
It’s comfortable here and I love it.
You say you want to own your life,
Then wake up and take your own advice,
Guess you didn’t tell no one about the coldest of nights,
Where I helped you hold your pen…
Hey, shut up. I don’t want to hear another sentence,
I’m Author of pain,
Is it me or my demon talking?
What a dumb question,
Cause you and I are both one.
It’s real poetry till the day we die,
Isn’t that the slogan aop?
I thought I told you to shut up?
So what, you know I never listen to you,
You listen to me.
You’ll spend the rest of your life at the back of my mind,
I thought you had me in prison this whole time,
But I was the one holding the keys.
